Zhiyu Sheng, a member of the Communist Party of China, is a lecturer at the School of Automation, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST).

His research focuses on electromagnetic–thermal coupled modeling and intelligent thermal management of high-power-density permanent-magnet (PM) machines, following the chain: harmonic loss → lumped-parameter thermal network (LPTN) → global temperature sensing → closed-loop thermal management.
